# Platforms

The platforms CreatorHyve publishes to, how they connect, and their limits.

## Connecting

OAuth platforms open the platform's own sign-in. The others use a credential you paste into the connect dialog:

- **Bluesky**: your handle and an app password (not your account password).
- **Mastodon**: your server name and an access token with read and write scopes.
- **Telegram**: a bot token; the bot must be an admin of the channel.
- **Discord**: a channel webhook URL.
- **Dev.to**: an API key. **WordPress**: an application password on an https site. **Hashnode**: a personal access token for a Pro blog (Hashnode limits its API to Pro).

Credentials are encrypted at rest and never returned by the API.

## Notes

- "Text limit" is the length the platform allows for a post; blog platforms take full articles.
- Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest cannot publish text-only: attach media.
- Facebook, Instagram and Threads connections are open to everyone once Meta's app review finishes; until then only people with a role on the Meta app can connect them.
