# Platform options

Settings that only some platforms need: Pinterest board, YouTube type, blog titles, first comment.

`options` in `POST /posts` carries settings for specific platforms. Options for a platform that is not in the post are ignored.

| Option | Used by | Example |
|---|---|---|
| `options.pinterest.board_id` | Pinterest | `{ "board_id": "123456789" }`. Without it the account's default board is used. |
| `options.youtube` | YouTube | `{ "type": "short", "privacyStatus": "unlisted" }`. `type` is `video` or `short`; `privacyStatus` is `public`, `unlisted` or `private`. |
| `options.blog` | Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress | `{ "title": "My article", "summary": "One sentence", "tags": ["api", "social"] }`. The caption is the markdown body. |
| `options.tiktok` | TikTok | `{ "privacy_level": "SELF_ONLY", "title": "My video", "allow_comment": true }`. `privacy_level` is required and has no default (`PUBLIC_TO_EVERYONE`, `MUTUAL_FOLLOW_FRIENDS`, `FOLLOWER_OF_CREATOR` or `SELF_ONLY`, limited to what the account allows). Comments, Duet and Stitch are off unless you set `allow_comment`, `allow_duet`, `allow_stitch`. Set `disclose_content` with `brand_organic` (your own brand) or `brand_content` (paid partnership) for commercial content; branded content cannot be `SELF_ONLY`. Set `ai_generated` to label the video as made with AI. A video (`mediaId`) is required. |
| `options.first_comment` | X, Mastodon, Bluesky, Reddit | A string posted as the first comment after publishing. |
